This late 1800’s house required major renovation works as it had been neglected for a long time. Most of the walls in the ground floor were retained although extensive works were required to restore them, including new plasterwork and the replacement of parts of the original timber frame. Expert craftsmanship and building techniques were put to great use on this restoration.

The kitchen/living area has beautiful large bi-fold glass doors which lead to the deck area, creating a beautiful entertaining area that flows openly. One of the existing rooms was restored, including the original window seats, and converted to a theatre room. Most of the other existing features original were repaired and retained. All of the new windows were made to match the existing windows.

The new 1st floor addition features square set ceilings and includes a bathroom & bedrooms creating a separate zone for the children. The design of a children’s zone ensures great use of the new 1^st floor and frees up the ground level for greater functionality and more living space. The front garden was landscaped and a timber arbor & picket fence were constructed to finish the project.
